Private labeling car detailing products is not one price — it is three layers of cost: the product itself, the customization, and the freight. Rather than hand you a vague headline figure that ignores your packaging, your formula and your destination, we publish the structure: real MOQ tiers, the landed cost formula, and how tariffs and duties fit in. Build your own numbers with it before you talk to any supplier.
Every private label quote is built from the same three layers. Knowing which layer you are paying for is what separates a transparent quote from a headline price.
Stock: 100-300 pcs per SKU — no customization; ready formulas and standard packaging.
Private label: 500 pcs per SKU — your logo, label and packaging on a proven formula.
Full OEM: 1,000 pcs per SKU — an exclusive formula developed for your brand only.
Label and packaging setup — artwork, bottle or container format, and the compliance copy your market requires.
Sample fees — so you can test the formula, the finish and the pack before a bulk run. Some sample fees are deductible from your first order.
Setup work is one-off: it does not repeat at the same cost on your second order.
Sea freight, air freight or express — chosen by your volume, your deadline and your budget.
Door delivery to your FBA warehouse (FBA arranged by you), or delivery to your own facility.
Consolidation — multi-category orders can ship as one consignment so you pay one freight bill instead of six.
Unit price is not your cost. Landed cost is what you actually pay to put one sellable unit on your shelf.
Landed cost per unit = (product cost + freight + insurance + import duty + customs brokerage and port fees + inland delivery) ÷ total units
Comparing EXW against FOB. The two prices sit at different points in the chain, so the cheaper-looking number is often the more expensive one once freight and duty land.
Ignoring packaging cube. A bulky, low-density product can carry a higher per-unit freight cost than a heavier compact one, because freight is priced on volume as much as weight.
Consolidate. Ship multiple detailing categories together instead of sending SKUs separately — one consolidated consignment usually costs less per unit than six small ones, and it is the fastest way to move landed cost down without changing the product. Tell us your target categories and we will build the mixed container around them.
There is no single tariff rate for car care products. We will not invent one — here is the workflow that produces an accurate number.
The duty on a car care product depends on its HS code, its exact composition, and your destination market — and rates change with trade policy. Any supplier quoting a flat duty percentage without those three inputs is guessing.
YJOYJOY provides HS codes, formal invoices and full customs documentation with every shipment, so your broker can classify and clear the goods without delays. No duty percentage is published here on purpose: verify the current rate against your own HS code and destination before you price the product.
